— Nearly every dollar of yours goes towards supporting Survivors of Domestic Violence, as our overhead costs solely consist of paying for our P.O.Box, the odd stamps and rare web page maintenance. BED BUDDIES — providing beds, cribs and bedding for women/families leaving the shelter. Since 2019, FFF’s primary focus is to provide beds, bedding and a dining table with chairs to women / families moving into YWCA sponsored apartments, giving them basic dignity while they re-build their life free of abuse and danger.
TLAs (Temporary Living Apartments) — furniture and household items
CHRISTMAS GIFTS — coats, boots, gloves/scarves/hats, slippers, PJs, sweatsuits, underwear, blankets, duffle bags, hygiene items, stockings and toys
SEASONAL GIFTS — Valentines, Easter, Mother’s Day, Summer, Back to School, Halloween gifts, etc
EMERGENCY SURVIVOR SUPPORT — gift cards for food, gas, clothing, toiletries for families that transitioned out of the shelter, but have no sufficient income yet
ANGEL FUND — emergency psychological and/or legal counseling as well as crucial support (which may range from food, shelter, to clothing and other living expenses) for women with no other means and high integrity, unanimously agreed upon by the FFF Board
MONTHLY DINNERS and PIZZA PARTIES at the shelter
EMERGENCY SHELTER SUPPLIES — the shelter asks us to provide supplies when their budget is tight to provide diapers, hygiene items, wash cloths, towels and more
OVERHEAD — stamps, USPS PO Box, web page support
Families for Families believes all people deserve to live free from the repercussions of domestic violence. Through raising public awareness, advocacy, and direct support to survivors, Families for Families aims to helping women and children rebuild their lives after violence, while instilling an ethic of service in our youth.
